Policies

At K9 Connections, we strive to provide the highest level of care and service to all of our clients. Please review the following policies to ensure clarity and mutual understanding of how we operate.

Refund Policy

Once services have been started, no refunds will be issued. This includes any consultations, training sessions, or preparations that have been made in advance of the scheduled services. We invest significant time in creating personalized plans, conducting research, and ensuring the best possible outcomes for each dog. If you need to cancel or reschedule a service, please see our cancellation policy.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

We understand that life gets in the way sometimes, and we’re happy to work with you on rescheduling when necessary. Our cancellation fees are not punitive; they simply cover the trainer’s missed earnings. If you provide at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations, it gives us the opportunity to fill the time slot and keep our trainers’ schedules full. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the scheduled service. No-shows or cancellations without notice will be charged for the full session.

Training Package Policy

Training packages are designed to address specific behavioral goals and must be completed within 6 months of the first session unless otherwise agreed upon. This helps ensure consistency and progress in your dog’s training.

Travel Policy

In-person training sessions are available within a 20-mile radius of Keizer, Oregon, at no additional charge. For clients outside of this area, a travel fee of 50 cents per mile may apply. Online Zoom sessions are also available for remote clients.

Payment Policy

Full payment for services is due before the first session. We accept payments via Cash, our website, and Venmo. Payment plans may be available upon request for certain services. Please contact us to discuss options.

Code of Conduct

For the safety of all participants, we ask that you follow any instructions provided during training sessions and be respectful to all trainers, assistants, and other dogs. Failure to do so may result in the termination of the session or program without a refund.

Health and Vaccination Requirements

For all in-person sessions, dogs must be up-to-date on their vaccinations, including rabies, distemper, and parvovirus. Proof of vaccinations may be requested prior to the first session. Dogs showing signs of illness will not be able to attend in-person sessions until cleared by a vet.

Confidentiality

We respect your privacy and the sensitive nature of behavior concerns. Any information shared during our sessions will be kept confidential and only used to improve your dog’s training experience.

Liability Waiver

By participating in training or grooming sessions, you acknowledge that working with animals can involve certain risks. K9 Connections will not be held liable for any injuries or accidents that occur during the sessions.
